Some PDF files just will not work in On-Screen Takeoff - if you run into one of these, please contact Support - they will ask you for a copy of the file so we can add it to our inventory of test files to see if can accommodate the file in a future version. If you experience problems with using a particular file, try to convert it to another file format using an external converter. On-Screen Takeoff cannot open password-protected PDF files. There is simply not enough information contained in a small format PDF to display it with acceptable quality. Some PDFs are published at letter size (8.5 x 11) instead of Architectural size. This is fixed in current versions of OST. On-Screen Takeoff 3.8.1 always used the "Printable" size of a PDF to render it as a TIF in memory however, the software may not be able to properly read this setting in newer PDFs. Newer PDFs store their page size in 2 places - one for viewing and one for printing. You may see a page size of 4" x 6" inches or something similar.

Some PDFs created with the newer versions of PDF engines will not be imported at full page size. 3.8.0 did not have the ability to display these watermarks so the pages are suppressed completely.
